Hello to all my friends from India!

After a long, about 20 hours, starting in Chicago and landing in Bangalore, India but uneventful plane ride, we arrived in Bangalore at about 2:00 am.  Yes, the plan was to only take a backpack, but the last minute instruction to bring a swimsuit, put my bag over the carry on size..lol. I ended up checking it, only for it to get lost.  It's actually quite liberating not having to worry about what you are going to wear until the bag shows up.  The airlines was nice enough to supply a t-shirt and toiletries to get us by.

We were welcomed at the airport by our travel coordinators from the US Pema and Rebecca,  and our travel coordinators from India Dawa and Milan.  They presented us with a long white scarf called  a "katag".   It is typically given from a student to teacher, except for special occasions.  It represents respect and sincerity.

With an hour bus ride to our overnight stay at the Hotel Dew Drop in Bangalore, we did get a couple  of hours of sleep.  We woke up to a breakfast of some traditional Indian food, and some boiled eggs, we hopped on another bus, and drove 4 more hours to Mysore.  I didnt want to miss anything on the bus ride, but i think i did dose off for a while.  By the time we arrived we were totally exhausted.  Slept really well last night.

The sites and sounds in India are like none other.   Will try and post some pics later. It's 10:40 pm now, heading off to bed.  Early yoga tomorrow!

Ps....it's been in the 80's here, not too humid.
